Is it necessary for a proffesional(CA/CWA,CS) to sign the DIN application?

I want to incorporate an LLP(limited liability Partnership) in Delhi,India and currently I have to apply for DIN(Director Identification Number). In the end I see a place where it is said to get it digitally signed by a certified proffesional such as CA,CWA or CS. I just want to know if that is COMPULSORY or can the applicant sign the form himself.
Thanks
