Review the papers you got carefully and immediately. They should list the date for your next court appearance. Also, know that there are two SEPARATE proceedings that have commenced agaisnt you: one involving the court and the other involving the DMV. You have a very short time to request a hearing with the DMV. Do so immediately and that way you can continue using your license.
Also, consider contacting a lawyer immediately to guide you through the process. You can resonable representation for about $3-5K.
