Can you keep your car if you file for chapter 7 bankruptcy in Massachusetts?

I know that if you qualify for chapter 7 bankruptcy, you’re allowed to keep some assests to live on etc, and that it varies frome state to state – does anyone know the value at/below which the bankruptcy judge will allow you to keep your car in MA?
If your car is worth more, will they take it or require you to sell it?
Thanks for any help!

You can reaffirm with your creditors if you choose to do so, but you have to be able to keep making the payments.
Chapter 7 is not what it used to be, since the changes last year, it is difficult to dismiss your debts completely, in most cases you will be required to repay almost all of your debt over a longer period of time.
